This award winning FinTech company need a Lead Automation Test Engineer to help create the Testing Automation process from scratch. You'll be responsible for the design and implementation of the test strategy and test automation on Product Development projects, ensuring the engineering team are adhering to software engineering best practice and delivering quality solutions to our clients. Initial objectives of this appointment will include:
* Design and implement the Product Development test strategy
* Create, implement and be the owner of the test automation roadmap, including the selection and implementation of tools
* Be an enthusiastic advocate of quality and testing and share your skills and knowledge with others
Essential requirements:
* 5+ years of experience in a testing role in an Agile Software/Product Development environment
* Strong track record of manual and automated testing
* Proven experience in test automation using various automation tools, frameworks and languages. E.g.: Selenium, Cucumber, TestCafe, SBT, JavaScript
* Proven experience in designing and implementing best practice test strategy and framework
* Solid understanding of Test Driven Development (TDD), Behaviour Driven Development (BDD), and Continuous Integration (CI)
* Proven experience in API testing
* Proven experience in working closely with DevOps to optimise deployment pipeline and improve overall quality
* Demonstrable experience with cross browser testing
* Demonstrable experience in converting business requirements into automated test scripts
* Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
* Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to articulate issues and solutions to stakeholders
* Proven experience working with senior stakeholders, up to C-level
* Exceptional workshop and meeting facilitation skills
* Exceptional organisations skills including ability to organise and motivate self and others on a daily basis, rather than waiting for work to be assigned to you
