Software Tester (manual) – London / Hybrid - paying up to £50,000
Are you a highly skilled manual Software Tester seeking a new challenge? Our client, a leading financial planning and investment management firm, is currently looking to expand their team and hire a Software Tester to ensure the quality and reliability of their software products.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in conducting meticulous manual testing processes, collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders. Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing testing protocols to ensure alignment with business requirements.
- Performing comprehensive manual testing to identify defects, bugs, and areas for improvement.
- Developing and executing detailed test plans, cases, and scripts based on project specifications.
- Conducting functional, regression, integration, and acceptance testing to validate software functionality and performance.
- Documenting test results and processes systematically, utilizing relevant testing tools.
- Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to communicate testing insights and contribute to decision-making processes.
- Participating in project meetings to provide valuable testing perspectives and feedback.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in software testing or a related role.
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies and best practices.
- Proficiency with test management tools such as JIRA.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Solid communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
