Lead User Experience Designer - London - £500p/d
An international organization that works over 100 countries across the world are looking for a Lead User Experience Designer. They need the User Experience Designer to deliver high quality user centred design solutions for their internal digital platforms, with a specific focus on our SharePoint collaboration sites, around the world in line with the vision of the Digital, Partnerships and Innovation Director and Global Head of User Experience and Visual Design.
This will involve working closely with a range of stakeholders, as well as providing support on user research or testing activities where required, to ensure the experience is truly user centred, inclusive and supports the strength of the brand. The post holder will play a key role within a multidisciplinary team, working to support the development of templates framework and guidelines for the collaboration sites. These templates should be flexible, scalable and reusable so that they can be applied to a number of collaboration programmes, various internal user needs and business units.
The current Digital team is multidisciplinary and employs Agile methodology, with a default to Open Source systems. It includes digital design experts (including User Experience and Information Architecture), digital technology experts (working on content management systems, systems design and performance), content managers, and Social Media experts. These are supported by functions in operations, governance, programme management, business analytics and finance. The team works closely with a matrix of Heads of Digital, charged with leading digital strategy and activity in regions and in the Specialist Business Units (English & Exams, Education & Society and Arts).
Main responsibilities: (Lead User Experience Designer - London - £500p/d)
* To create flexible SharePoint templates and information architecture that can be reused for various collaboration sites across the internal digital estate
* To create a set of templates including information architecture and visual design style guides guide that are flexible, scalable and reusable so that they can be applied to a number of collaboration programmes, with various internal user needs and across different business units
* To create user experience and visual design guidelines (typography, colour, tone of voice), in partnership with the user experience and visual design, and brand teams, that can be shared and made available for any internal teams in order to create SharePoint collaboration sites. This could also be translated / extended to other internal digital platforms.
* To conduct desk based (i.e. expert reviews, competitor analysis) and user research to inform the guidelines and templates, as and when required
* To explore whether analytics can be embedded to track the success and key performance metrics of each collaboration site.
* To act as a domain expert in SharePoint, demonstrating extensive knowledge and implementation of user experience on this platform.
* To contribute to the successful application of Agile methodology in the Digital and Collaboration team, by ensuring effective cross-functional team collaboration through attending sprint planning and stand-ups and other ceremonies related to the agile delivery process.Lead User Experience Designer - London - £500p/d
