Node.js Developer - London - £550 per day (remote)


A highly experienced Node.js Backend Engineer is required to work in the team delivering the next generation of content management solutions for a huge digital project.

As the existing Drupal based Content Management System (CMS) approaches its end of life, work has commenced to build a Node.js based CMS platform that will deliver the 120+ websites that make up the companies estate for the decade ahead. The new platform will offer a 'Headless' system employing Node.js for the backend and React for the presentation rendering via a GraphQL service layer.

The Software Engineer will provide expertise in system design as well as hands on coding in Node.js to deliver the platform. They will work alongside the core members of the team and help advise and the design of overall solution design working closely with other members of Digital and Stakeholders using Agile processes.

The team is hoping to redefine content authoring on the web. By using best in class technology, they are able to work quickly to produce a product that encompasses the best of the web in a way that is accessible and attractive.

Do you have the following skills & experience? Javascript (Node.JS)

Node.js
GraphQL
Writing automated tests
API design and implementation
SQL and NoSQL Databases (MySQL/Postgres, Redis)
Linux
Git knowledge (feature branches, GitHub PR workflow)

The following skills are desirable:

ES6+/ES2015+ (promises, async/await)
Redis
AWS
Elastic Beanstalk, Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, IAM, Route 53, RDS (PostgreSQL), CloudFormation
React.js
